This ambient drone surreal concept album rides a narrative about the captain of The Crystal Galleon, which he needs to set sail in to do the things fathers do to take care of their daughter's that they leave back home. The things they do galleons. Secret things they don't tell their sweet ones.

Long lonely guitar-drone-driven journeys across the billowing sea, ice, strong wind, especially when the Spanish galleon takes flight on its peacock wings.

The captain's daughter tasks him with bringing back a small replica of the ever-morphing crystal galleon, which is also somewhat, sometimes, a peacock, to prove his love. She has been having dreams of peacocks.

She doesn't understand that the sweaty, harrowing journey is what what he does to keep her in a house that's safe and warm. (Until she will grow up and rejects his galleon-weilding world entirely one day.)

But when she sees the little galleon made of crystal, she believes.

With the wonderful XAW (Wax Backwards) on ambient drone guitar. In fact, hearing him play alone often, sounding to SA's ears like he was dramatizing an ocean storm journey, is what gave her the idea and motivation for the album.

What does SA mean when saying "production" in the credits? It's a single word used loosely by SA (Rosemary Bensko) to imply the whole process of creating songs and albums and being responsible for them sounding the best she can make them with somewhat limited means. When they begin with jams, such as some of the pieces in this album, SA scouts the jams for sections to develop into songs. Then she manipulates the jam itself, adds several layers and creatively integrates them, mix/masters, comes up with the concept, title, art, organization.
